Fake Bling,Pirate Ring:) WWII Bullets and more

Hi all

Have been a bit lazy with my posts.
Coins were as per usual...Pennies,maybe six Silvers,Spendable Goldies and a KAZILLION 1c and 2c pieces
Here are some of the more interesting finds since my last post.

Junk Rings and fake bling :(

Found some more .50Cal BMG Bullets and what would have been a huge key

A very nice and quite heavy Triton Tungsten TC850 Ring

A collection of Sterling Silver Rings

The stone on the left appears to be  a Sapphire
The Skull ring seems quite old....it took heaps of cleaning techniques to get it Silver again....must have been in the sand&surf for a loooong time

The mens ring has a GreenStone in it
Must have been a pretty big fella that lost this 'cause it is huge

Happy Hunting all :)

  1. As usual you have a great bunch of cool finds.
That Sapphire looks huge too. Are the bullets off a firing range as they all seem to still have their shape?

    1. I was told by the Army Museum that they were most likely fired from a range quite far off??It is next to a body off water so I guess they overshot some of the rounds just past the water....The soil is relatively soft and those bullets are solid as "During World War II the .50 BMG was primarily used in the M2 Browning machine gun for anti-aircraft purposes." So I think it has to hit something relatively solid to deform.
All just speculative research guesswork on my behalf :):)

  2. HEya! Finally you have posted something :-)
I was wondering where you gone.

That,Triton Tungsten TC850 Ring, have yuo tried to locate the owner? any ingravings? as it is mostly worthless as scrap anyway :( - but might get a reward from the owner ;-)

    2. Yap- really like evening hunts, no people around askign stupid questions and usually go with Andrew when doing beaches, so we cover the whole beach at one go(4+ Hours per person) :-)

Yap- i am always open to dual hunts - that actually way more interesting that solo (for me) - as it brings a competition :-)

I really want to go somewhere where is a chance of old coins and cool old items - like we did with Chris at the school.
so let me know if you have something in mind that is too big of an area and wouldn't mind sharing a spot :-)

as for now we are focusing on beaches while it is still summer - and you can see my results on my blog :-)
