Finally found a way to clean the NZ goldies, silver and even those dark brown 10c pieces
come out shiny...works on Aussie coins and Pounds too
Brings out the shine(even the ones off the beaches)....so banktellers won't refuse you :):):)
If you can't afford a tumbler I suppose you have to improvise ;)
Here is a pic of coins that were just scrubbed with soap and warm water and two that were
cleaned the other way
(As always this is just recommended for current currency...not older coins)
Looks nice n clean . . . How ya do it?
ReplyDeleteHey man, share the strategy please :D
ReplyDeleteHi Fellas......Couldn't be easier....All you need is:
ReplyDeleteWash the coins hot water n soap as normal.
Take a rough steel potscourer(cost you like $2 for 3).....(I find the Steelo is too fine)
Scrub the coin with damp scourer and they come out clean, shiny and Cashable
P.S. Don't wait till you got a few hundred cause then it becomes a loooong boooooring task hahahaha
