A blog about some Metal Detecting Trips and Finds in New Zealand. We go Water Detecting mainly but also do some old spots depending on our research. Have to try and keep track of all the 'hunts' :)
Well done! Dont you just love those days when it all comes together. I've also been digging quite a few old aussie coins just lately.
Thanks....Not half as impressive as your finds.....You are getting some really old stuff down there :)HH
Nice silvers..The only problem with silver coins- they are 2-4$ on trademe.I am not saying that digging only for money/ gold is good , i like those small bits and pieces that give estatic value.but in america coins worth way more than here, same for England etc..As for me- i need Florin and H/Crown to get my set :-)In other words- get your ass to the beach, leave parks for the winter! :-D
The Tides don't coincide with my odd work hours....besides I reckon you've been cleaning out the beaches before I can get to them hehehe
Nice finds that silver is always a welcome sight
Yip.I love digging those older Silvers :)
