A blog about some Metal Detecting Trips and Finds in New Zealand.
We go Water Detecting mainly but also do some old spots depending on our research.
Have to try and keep track of all the 'hunts' :)

A little Gold n Silver
Some of the Silver coin finds
The British Shilling is 192? .. very worn
A nice gold ring from the beach with a garnet/ruby
Was a crazy 2am detect to catch the low tide...Got permission for a few schools so I am mainly doing them during the day...have like 1.5kg worth of pennies so far for like 5 hunts....I am 'gifting' them to the schools(saves me from having to store it :):)....Working night shift makes it all bit easier....HH:)
Heya, Could you confirm where you found the gold Ring? as it has a discription of the ring lost by a person i tried to find just recently but failed.. :-)
Triple bay (MIssion Bay/Kohi/ST.helliers) is not secret location :-) i think its ok to ask where items were found :-) its just i do noit remember MUD there, maybe the Mud below beach level is mentioned?
or Old Stream that goes at ht ebegining of the beach? :-) I should get my Excalibur before the end of the week and then... then... Buhha hahah :-)
I am looking forward to the"Buhha hahah" too :-) Don't hear much about Excals on these blogs/forums. I know there is one in Pt Chev area but have not seen any others so far.

ReplyDeleteI suppose you had the beach just about to
